I visited “Mercedes-Benz STUDIO TOKYO,” which is quickly becoming a landmark in Omotesando.
It’s a one-minute walk from Exit A5 of Omotesando Station. This Mercedes-Benz brand experience facility opened in April 2026 as the successor to Mercedes me Tokyo, which was previously located in Roppongi.
Actually, this facility isn’t permanent—it’s scheduled to operate for about one year. Since it’s a limited-time facility set to remain open until around spring 2027, I recommend visiting sooner rather than later if you’re interested.
I stopped by while strolling through Omotesando on my day off, and I found it to be a space that car enthusiasts—and even those who aren’t usually interested in cars—can enjoy.
Mercedes-Benz’s Information Hub at Omotesando

Mercedes-Benz STUDIO TOKYO is a little different from a typical dealership.
It is not a facility dedicated solely to selling cars; rather, it is operated as a place where visitors can experience the lifestyle and brand philosophy proposed by Mercedes-Benz.
The interior features a unified, sophisticated design, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of a lounge at a luxury hotel abroad.
It fits perfectly with the image of the Omotesando neighborhood, and even a casual stop by allows you to enjoy a sense of escape from the everyday.
Vehicles Actually on Display

When I visited, a matte black S-Class and an AMG CLA were on display.
The S-Class was the first thing that caught my eye.
In addition to the overwhelming presence you’d expect from Mercedes’ flagship sedan, the matte black body color created a unique sense of luxury.
Unlike standard black, it softly reflects light, accentuating its sense of solidity.
Since this is a finish you rarely see even in the city, being able to examine it up close was a rare treat.
The other vehicle, the AMG CLA, was also impressive.
Despite its compact body, its design exudes the sportiness typical of AMG, offering a charm distinct from that of the S-Class.
While the S-Class emphasized luxury, the AMG CLA was characterized by styling that conveyed a sense of driving performance.
I think both cars looked right at home against the sophisticated streetscape of Omotesando.
More Relaxed Atmosphere Than at a Dealership (Including Test Drive)

When people think of luxury car dealerships,
some might feel
“a little nervous about walking in.”
However, Mercedes-Benz STUDIO TOKYO doesn’t have that kind of atmosphere.
The staff won’t pressure you to buy, and you’re free to look at the display cars and take photos.
Since you can actually get inside some of the vehicles, it’s a place where you can really get a feel for Mercedes-Benz.
The fact that you can fully enjoy the experience even if you’re not planning to buy a car is a major draw.
Plus, you can take a test drive for free! There was a wide range of options, from the new G-Class to the SL.
However, please note that advance reservations are required from the link below. (I didn’t know this, so I wasn’t able to take a test drive.)
Also, please note that you must have a Japanese driver’s license and a Line app . (It seems that an international driver’s license is not accepted.)
It’s Worth a Visit Just for the Café

The facility also features the “Mercedes-Benz Café by I’m donut?”
Supervised by Ryota Hirako, the founder of the popular donut brand “I’m donut?,” the café reportedly attracts many visitors who come specifically for it.
When I actually looked around inside, I noticed not only car enthusiasts but also young couples and tourists.
It seems like a great place to take a break while strolling through Omotesando.
A Limited-Time Facility Open Through Next Spring

What struck me during this visit was that this is a “Mercedes showroom that even non-car enthusiasts can enjoy.”
It’s a space where you can not only get up close and personal with luxury cars but also experience the brand’s unique worldview firsthand.
And most importantly, this facility is open for only about a year.
Even if you’re familiar with Mercedes me Tokyo in Roppongi, I think it’s worth visiting at least once as a new hub for Mercedes.
If you’re planning a trip to Omotesando, why not stop by?
