This is the first special feature and extra edition. This time, since I visited Tokyo Disneyland by car, I will introduce how to enjoy getting around Disneyland by car, including how to enter the parking lot and how much it costs. I will also introduce how I visited Disneyland in a day and how to get the Priority Pass, so please refer to them if you like. (I will introduce the Priority Pass in the next article.)
When should I go there by car? What are the fees ?
(Japan, 1-1 Maihama, Urayasu-shi, Chiba 279-0031)
Tokyo Disneyland, parking lot gate. Palm trees will lift your spirits.
The biggest concern when driving to Disneyland is probably time. After all, you have come all the way here comfortably by car, you don’t want to be late for the opening of the park because of the traffic jam and not be able to board the attractions you want to ride.
As a conclusion, I recommend 7:00 am on weekdays and 6:00 am on weekends. However, the crowds depend on the time of the year, so be sure to get there as early as possible.
This time I went on a weekday and arrived at the parking lot at 7:00. The roads were already starting to get crowded with cars heading to Disneyland. When you arrive at the gate of the parking lot, you pay the fee. Of course, cards are accepted!
Fees
weekdays | weekends and holidays | |
Standard passenger car (under 5m in length): | ¥2,500 yen | ¥3,000 yen |
Large vehicles (over 5m in length): | ¥4,500 yen | ¥5,000 yen |
Motorcycles (including motorized bicycles): | ¥500 yen | ¥500 yen |

After passing through the gate at 7:00 a.m., we were guided to the second floor of the multi-level parking garage. In addition to this, a flat parking lot is also available. On weekends and holidays, the parking lot will fill up quickly. It is a 5-10 minute walk from the multi-level parking lot to the entrance gate. Convenience is very good.
Tokyo Disneyland parking lot location
Let me tell you where the parking lot is located, which is of interest to you. Basically, you can follow a navigation system such as Google Maps. After exiting the Kasai Exit on the Metropolitan Expressway Bayshore Route, you will see signs for Tokyo Disney Resort and Tokyo Disneyland as shown in the photo below, so follow the signs!
Finally, admission to the park!
At 7:30 on a weekday, there were so many people in front of the gate! It is very hot in summer, so it is a good idea to have a drink and a sun umbrella ready. We just wait until 9:00, when the gates open.
At this point, you should discuss with your friends and family which attractions you want to visit. The theory is that the first ride should be the most popular one.
A role model of how to visit Tokyo Disneyland! Here’s how to get around the popular attractions in one day!
Baymax Happy Ride
The first ride was Baymax’s Happy Land, which was built in 2020. It looks very cute, but the ride is surprisingly intense with lateral G-forces. You will be surprised at the gap between the cute appearance and the excitement of the ride. The turnover rate of visitors is good, so even if you are waiting in line, you can get on the ride sooner than you think. While you are waiting in line, you can get a Priority Pass from the official Tokyo Disney Resort app. Details will be mentioned in the next article.
Star Tours: The Adventures Continue
Summer in Tokyo is very hot. This attraction is located indoors and is perfect for the hot summer. The attraction is like watching a 4D movie. Before entering the theater, you will be given a pair of 3D glasses, so be sure to pick them up! If you get screen-sick easily, you might want to be careful.
Gadget’s Go Coaster
A roller coaster in Toontown. In fact, I had never ridden a roller coaster before because I hated them. I thought I would test my skills and tried a roller coaster that looked like a roller coaster for children. It was also a lot scarier than it looked, and for someone like me who doesn’t like roller coasters, it was quite a thrill. There is a pond in the middle, which is perfect for the hot summer.
Break
There is quite a line and you will get hungry, so take breaks often. The Little Green Man pictured below is like a chewy, cold mochi, and very tasty. The flavors are chocolate, custard, and strawberry. They are sold at the restaurant near Space Mountain, so be sure to give them a try!
Lunch (Hungry Bear Curry)
After having a snack, I was still hungry, so I decided to have lunch. This time we went to Hungry Bear Curry, which was recommended by a Disney-loving friend. I had the chicken curry shown in the second picture. The chicken was very tasty and highly recommended! The medium spicy was a bit spicy, so maybe the sweeter version would be better for little kids.
Beaver Brothers Canoe Exploration
This is a rare attraction at Disney that offers a solid workout. The oars are paddled to the call of the park staff to propel the boat forward. Like Splash Mountain, you will get quite wet, so you should be prepared for that! Personally, I liked it a lot.
Splash Mountain
Splash Mountain is one of the top three most popular attractions at Disneyland. Even though it was a weekday, there were people lined up in the queue. The wait was short for this type of ride, but it took about 40 minutes. We were finally guided to the ride and boarded. At first look, the drop is short, but the ride is surprisingly long! The ride is thrilling, and the water makes it perfect for summer! However, it was very hot in the line up area under the blazing sun, so a small fan or sunshade might be a good idea.
It’s a Small World
From the standpoint of going on the water, it is the same as Splash Mountain, but this time the boat moves slowly, so small children will be able to enjoy it together. The exhibit features dwarfs from around the world, immersing visitors in a very cute world. Even though the line is long, the turnover rate is good, so you can get on the boat sooner than you think. This is an indoor attraction, so if it gets too hot, cool off here!
The Horned Mansion
For a moment it looks like a scream machine, but it is similar to It’s a Small World except that it is dark. A streetcar ride takes visitors to the Horned Mansion. The author was most surprised by the dinner party scene. Ghosts are dancing, but they appear to float above the ground. It is very interesting and should be seen.
Snack time
Pan Galactic Pizza Port
Churros
Churros are one of Disney’s famous sweets. This time, we got them at the concession stand across from the Baymax ride. They are crispy and very tasty.
Smoked Turkey Legs
Smoked Turkey Legs. More than you can imagine, delicious! If you’re hungry, you’ll definitely be satisfied with this! Steamboat Mark Twain, obtained near the boarding area.
Flying Dumbo
Last ride before dinner. This ride is a big hit with the kids. The fun part is that you can control the flying height of Dumbo by yourself. At the highest point, even adults feel it is quite high, so if you are brave enough, give it a try. If you are brave enough, give it a try. You will be surprised at how high Dumbo is, which you can’t imagine from its appearance.
Dinner
We decided to have dinner this time at the Plaza Pavilion Restaurant. They were having a Donald event and I ordered the Duck Dive Pasta. It was carbonara with a semi-cooked egg on top, and the cream was rich and very tasty. Dessert was also included, so I was very satisfied. There is a wide variety of other restaurants, including Chinese and grill, so you can dine according to your mood.
Pirates of the Caribbean
Experience the famous story of the pirates of the Caribbean aboard a ship. It is quite dark inside, and the atmosphere is very atmospheric and exciting. As before, the entrance appears to be a scream-fest, but the ride is not fast at all, so you can take your time and enjoy the experience.
Pooh’s Honey Hunt
Many of you may want to meet the very cute Pooh. In this attraction, you can experience Pooh’s story firsthand on a honey kiln ride. The ride is quite fun, as the movements are quicker than expected. This attraction almost makes me want a Pooh plushie.
Electrical Parade & Beauty and the Beast
When I went outside, to my surprise, the Electrical Parade was being held! It was dark and the buildings were beautifully lit up. The parade was spectacular, and it was nice to be able to see it from the side. Some people buy a night ticket (about half the price of a day ticket) just to see this parade, so it is very much worth seeing. The last parade, Beauty and the Beast, was recently built and was very beautiful. Above all, the first scene of the Beast and the scene of the dinner party are very impressive. How about this for the end of your visit to Disneyland?
What is Priority Pass?
To obtain Priority Pass, you need to download the official Disneyland App ( Tokyo Disney Resort App). According to Disney’s official website, this is a free service that allows you to select and obtain an eligible facility you wish to experience and use the facility at a specified time with a short waiting time.
Please use the Tokyo Disney Resort App to acquire this service.
- One Park Ticket can be acquired per person.
- -One Park Ticket can be used for one person.
- -You may redeem a Priority Pass for another facility after 120 minutes from the time of purchase or the start time of your 40th Anniversary Priority Pass, whichever comes first.
- If you wish to return to the same facility, you may do so after the 40th Anniversary Priority Pass has been used or after the end of the Priority Pass period, whichever comes first.

Briefly, the app gives you the right to get a Priority Pass after about 2 hours. You choose which attraction you want to use the pass for, and if you are OK with the time shown, you can get the pass. When choosing an attraction, you can see the wait times from the app, so it is a good idea to choose the most popular one. The pass itself is free. This will definitely allow you to enjoy Disneyland in a comfortable and economical way!
